Doctors visit Mayor, advice him to take rest

Kolkata: A team of doctors from a private hospital in the city on Tuesday visited the residence of the Mayor Sovan Chatterjee to examine the injuries that he had suffered after falling on the toilet floor at his residence on Monday. The doctors examined him thoroughly and advised to take a rest for at least a week. It was learnt that he had pain on his knees and also around his waist. The doctors visited his house as his pain had further intensified. The doctors are examining how serious is the nature of his injuries. Various tests including some blood tests have already been performed on him. He was rushed to a private hospital on Monday after he had the fall inside his house. The doctors will examine him again by the end of this week. He was later released by the hospital after a thorough check up by the doctors there. Chatterjee, who is also the minister in charge of state Environment and Fire and Emergency department, beside being the Mayor of the city directed the senior officials of his department to come to his house so that he can sign the important documents.
