Court bars Mukul from making any statement linking Abhishek Banerjee, Biswa Bangla

Kolkata: Civil Judge (Senior Division) Alipurduar has restrained Mukul Roy from making any statement that may reveal or may tantamount to reveal any connection between Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee and Biswa Bangla Marketing Corporation Limited and Jago Bangla Media Private Limited.
Earlier, Roy in a public meeting held in Kolkata on November 10, had alleged that Banerjee is the owner of both the companies. Following this, Abhishek sent a legal notice to Roy refuting the allegations and urged him to tender unconditional apology within 48 hours. As Roy did not tender an apology, Banerjee moved the court and obtained the order.
The order reads: "That the sole defendant/opposite party of this suit is hereby restrained and prohibited from making any statement that may reveal or may tantamount to reveal any connection of the plaintiff/petitioner with the two organisations namely Biswa Bangla marketing Corporation Limited and Jago Bangla Media Private Limited or any other body or organisation, with which the plaintiff/petitioner does not have any traceable and valid link, as he is said to have done in the political party on 10.11.2017, till 14.12. 2017."
It may be mentioned that Rajiva Sinha, additional chief secretary of Micro Small and Medium Scale Enterprises had called a press conference at Nabanna on November 11 and clarified that Biswa Bangla Marketing Corporation is a state-owned company and not a privately owned firm.
