Complaints lodged against Dilip Ghosh

Kolkata: Complaints were lodged against BJP state president Dilip Ghosh, alleging that his statement would lead to tension.
Complaints have been lodged with Hare Street and Gariahat police stations. It has been learnt that one Arka Naha had lodged a complaint with Hare Street police station on Sunday night. On Monday morning, one Binod Kumar Singh lodged a complaint against Ghosh with Gariahat police station, in similar connection.
Singh claimed that he lodged the complaint with the police, apprehending that the statement of Ghosh would instigate trouble. The statement of Ghosh had sparked controversy as he had publicly said that sticks will be used if someone attacks them with the same.
Moreover, the special observer appointed by the Calcutta High Court has expressed his annoyance as the bike rally from Simla Street had been delayed due to Ghosh.
This comes at the time when the court on Monday has made it clear that it will be the responsibility of the party, in case of any trouble during the rally.
The issue related to bikes brought from Uttar Pradesh has also cropped up in the High court on Monday. In this connection, the court stated that steps need to be taken as per the Motor Vehicles Act, if the state has any problem. The court has also directed to initiate rallies on time.
Meanwhile, there was a clash between Trinamool Congress and BJP supporters in Uluberia on Monday. Houses of some of the Trinamool Congress supporters were damaged.
A large contingent of police was pressed into action and the situation was brought under control.
