CMC&H celebrates freshers' welcome

Kolkata: Alapan 2K17, the annual freshers' welcome of Calcutta Medical College and Hospital was held recently in the city.

The function was organised by MCDSA. The programme was held in the Academy Building of CMC&H. The programmes started at 3 pm. There were cultural and entertainment programmes which included recitation (both solo and group), singing (both solo and group), dance, mime, drama and theme walk. The newly-inducted students took part in some of the events and had enthralled the audience by their performance in various sections. The inaugural lamp was lighted by Dr Asim Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Regional Institute of Opthalmology. The performance of Somlata and the Aces was liked by the audience. Meanwhile, the colourful floor motifs on the portico of the Academy Building was appreciated by the guests.
