CM Mamata Banerjee to reach Darjeeling on Nov 20

Darjeeling: Chief Minister will be arriving in the Darjeeling district on November 20 to attend a bipartite talk between the state government and Hill political parties.
The meeting will take place on November 21 at the Pintail Village on the outskirts of Siliguri. This is the third bipartite talks between the state government and the Hill political outfits.
The first meeting was held at Uttarkanya, the mini secretariat in Jalpaiguri. The second round of talks was held at Nabanna.
Political observers opine that the Pintail meeting is of great importance as a permanent political solution to the Gorkhaland impasse as it will be discussed in the meeting.
The Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) which is on the revival path had an organisational meeting at Sukhiapokhari on Friday.
"We feel that a permanent solution needs to be worked out rather than stop gap solutions. GNLF feels that 6th scheduled status would pave the way for a separate state. There are numerous instances in North East," stated Mann Ghising, president, GNLF.
The Binay Tamang faction of the GJM will be holding a public rally in Darjeeling town on Sunday followed by a GJM central committee meeting on Monday.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will arrive at Bagdogra Airport on November 20. She will then head for Uttarkanya in Jalpaiguri.
On 21 November, she will be attending the meeting at Pintail Village. On November 22, she is scheduled to hold an administrative meeting at Uttarkanya to be attended by various Community Development Boards from the Hills. The same day she will be departing for Kolkata.
