CM back after winning UK citizens' & investors' hearts

Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee returned to the city from her England- Scotland tour on Saturday evening. She had left for England on November 10.
At Wimbledon she had unveiled a Blue Plaque at the house where Sister Nivedita lived before she had left for India at the end of 1897.
Banerjee also addressed a meeting which was attended by businessmen, bankers and educationists in London. It was organized by Ficci- UKIBC.
Steel baron LN Mittal invited her to his house and the two had a highly fruitful meeting. Banerjee invited Mittal to the Bengal Global Business Summit ( BGBS) which scheduled to be held in January 2018.
Banerjee also addressed a meeting organised by Scottish Development International in Edinburgh, Scotland where she pitched strongly in favour of investing in Bengal.
Banerjee was accompanied on her United Kingdom trip by state Finance Minister Amit Mitra and Chief Secretary Malay De.
Banerjee was also accompanied by a team of top industrialists from Bengal, which included Sanjiv Goenka, Sanjiv Puri, Sanjay Budhia, Harshvardhan Neotia, Tarun Jhunjhunwalla, Gautam Chatterjee, Biswadeep Gupta , Rudra Chatterjee, Mayank Jalan, Gautam Chatterjee, O P Dhanuka, Keshav Bangar and Sumit Dabriwal.
Mitra has expressed satisfaction over the keen interest shown by the English and Scot businessmen in Bengal's investment potential.
