A bullet injury was found on the head of the man. The body has been sent for an autopsy examination.

According to sources, on Monday morning, a woman saw that Sharma was sitting in a playground near his home at Bramhanpara in Hanskhali. She called him for some work but when Sharma did not respond, she reportedly put her hand on him and understood that Sharma was dead. Immediately she called some local residents, who informed Hanskhali police station.

The police arrived at the spot and removed his body. Sleuths noticed a bullet injury beside his ear.

It is suspected that he had been shot dead at some other place in the locality. Later, the body was kept in a sitting posture.

While talking to his family, sleuths came to know that Sharma left his home on Sunday around 8 pm. Since then there was no trace of him. According to sources, Sharma joined Hanskhali police station as a civic volunteer approximately four months ago. But, he was temporarily suspended as Sharma had violated the rules and regulations multiple times.

He reportedly used to get absent without informing his superiors. Also, he used to leave the police stations without informing anyone. It is said he frequently got drunk and behaved badly with his family members. It is suspected that Sharma was murdered in a planned way. Sleuths are checking if he had any enmity with anyone.
