CID nabs 2 over murder of 2 TMC workers
Kolkata: The state Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has nabbed two persons on Tuesday night from Digha in East Midnapore, for allegedly murdering two Trinamool Congress workers on June 10 at Jagaddal. On the day of the incident, two Trinamool workers identified as Md Halim and Md Mustaque were talking in front of their houses, when miscreants hurled multiple crude bombs at them and fled.
Halim died on the spot while Mustaque was declared brought dead by the doctor of Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial (JNM) Hospital in Kalyani. Later, three persons were arrested. The accused persons are locally known as BJP workers who had allegedly attacked the Trinamool workers post the Lok Sabha 2019 election results. Several more accused named in the FIR are still on the loose.
