Children create symphony out of broken plates and waste bin

Kolkata: Children from various parts of the city enthralled audience on Sunday evening with their music skills in which they created a musical fusion with broken plates and waste bin of house.
The programme, which was held at Ajitesh Mancha in Nagerbazar, was inaugurated by Panchu Gopal Roy, Chairman of the South Dum Dum Municipality. Roy had lauded the unique initiative where kids created music from broken plates and other items.
On this occasion, children also presented classical music, dance and modern-age songs and music. On the occasion of the annual function of the Fusion Musical Troupe and Institute of Kolkata, children celebrated the auspicious day with Fusion Music.
Renowned Tabla Player and Founder of the Fusion Musical Troupe and Institute, Pandit Rakesh Kar said around 20 children between the age of eight and
sixteen years took a unique initiative to make melodious tunes with broken plates & waste bin of house.
"Fusion music is very popular along with classical music, but it is not very easy to create music from plate and box by small children in an area like Dumdum. To make the children practice in tune and rhythm is also an accomplishment," Roy said.
