CESC Rajasthan in Kota, Bharatpur and Bikaner to complete successful one year next month

Kolkata: CESC Rajasthan started providing electricity to around four lakh consumers in three cities of the state with a pledge of delivering best services to its customers. CESC Rajasthan is all set to complete a year next month. Kota Electricity Distribution Limited (KEDL), its wholly owned subsidiary, has taken over power distribution responsibilities in the fast growing city in September 2016. CESC's three distribution franchises in Rajasthan have done a considerable amount of progress. Reviewing the Rajasthan operations, a spokesperson of the company said on Wednesday that the three franchisee companies are already serving more than four lakh consumers in Kota, Bharatpur and Bikaner. Kota, Bharatpur and Bikaner are supplying power to a growing number of satisfied consumers over an area of 381 square kilometre. The current combined peak load of 371 MW is expected to grow further. A N Singh, CEO, CESC-Rajasthan said: "The Kota distribution operations have been stabilised in record time. It could well be considered the quickest takeover of any franchisee operation in the country. KEDL has already introduced a new format for consumer-friendly computerised billings."
