CBI team reaches Mayor's office
Kolkata: A team of CBI on Friday went to the anti chamber of Mayor Sovan Chatterjee in connection with the investigation of the Narada sting video. The four-member team led by CBI investigating officer Ranjit Kumar went there with the purpose of reconstructing the event. The CBI team after examining the Narada footage and interrogation of Mathew Samuel believes that the exchange of money between the Mayor and Samuel had taken place in the anti chamber of Chatterjee. When CBI reached the spot, Mayor's personal assistant and two of his security guards were present. Chatterjee reached his office at around 11.40 am. CBI sources said that the investigating team recorded the statement of his PA and two security guards. Chatterjee was also questioned in presence of his PA. Mathew Samuel had claimed that on April 16, 2014 he had come in the anti chamber of the Mayor and had offered him cash.
