Cafe Ekante opens exclusive outlet for South Indian delicacies

Kolkata: Café Ekante has opened its outlet at the central bus terminus in New Town exclusively for South Indian delicacies.
The restaurant is the first of its kind in the area. Café Ekante which was named by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has become very popular for its high quality food. People from Kolkata and Salt Lake come to the restaurant on Saturdays and Sunday to enjoy food. It has a house boat restaurant at Eco Park. Special menus are prepared for the guests during occasions like Durga Puja, Poila Baishakh and Jamai Sasthi.
The South Indian delicacies are likely to hit the market as there is a high demand for South Indian food among office-goers. As thousands of people come to New Town for work every day, it was felt that South Indian food could be good snacks both in the afternoon and in the evening.
South Indian delicacies have been popular among office goers both in the city and Salt Lake. There are makeshift stalls in Sector V where the employees from different offices come to have South Indian food in the afternoon. Like other Café Ekante outlets, cleanliness is the USP of this one also. Food is being served following all hygienic norms by the staffs.
