BSF seizes silver jewellery worth Rs 3.61L

Kolkata: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel seized eight packets of silver ornaments, weighing 8.74 kg and valued approximately at
Rs 3.61 lakh, near the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal's Nadia district, a BSF statement said on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, the border force laid a trap near the India-Bangladesh Border Road (IBBR) in Krishnanagar sector on Monday and observed some suspicious movements in the afternoon. Two-three miscreants were trying to throw some packets over the India-Bangladesh Border Fence (IBBF). The seized items were handed over to the Krishnaganj Police Station in Nadia.
