Body of taxi driver found near his vehicle

Kolkata: Mystery shrouds the death of a taxi driver whose was found dead near his vehicle on Sunday late night at Hastings.

Though the city police have confirmed that a road accident claimed life of the 32-year-old taxi driver

Santosh Rajbangshi, his family members say that there could be some sort of foul play behind the death.

Police said an unknown north bound vehicle has hit the victim's taxi from behind and it resulted to his death.

Santosh's taxi was parked on the side of a road near Chapel More when the accident took place.

He was declared brought dead when taken to SSKM Hospital.

Police, however, initiated a probe in this connection and they are trying to come to a conclusion whether there is any foul play

behind the incident.

The victim's family members told the police that one of his friends

had contacted him just a few minutes before the incident.

The friend told the victim's family members that Santosh was having a heated talk with someone, who could be a passenger of the taxi. So, the family members are considering that his death was result of the

fall out.
