Body of 46-yr-old man found floating in well

KOLKATA: The body of a person was recovered from a well at Selimpur, Garfa in the southern fringes of the city on Friday.

The body of Asish Kumar Ghosh (46) was fished out from a well in his house at Selimpur Lane by the disaster management team after it was found floating in it.

Police sources said that the victim had serious eye problems and was suffering from depression.

"We suspect this to be a case of accident. Probe is on to deduce the cause of death," a police officer of Garfa police station said.

Officials from the homicide wing of the Kolkata Police detective department visited the spot and spoke to the local residents.

"There have been no complaints from his family. We have initiated an case of unnatural death," an investigating officer said.
