BNCCI officials meet La Liga representatives

Kolkata: A delegation of Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BNCCI) that is currently touring Spain met the representatives of La Liga on Monday and made a presentation on the success of the Bengal government's efforts to make U-17 World Cup tournament at Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan a grand success.
Oscar Mayo, board president along with Guillermo Heredia, coordinator for Middle East, Russia and India met BNCCI representatives including Bani Roy Chowdhury, president, Satyam Roy Chowdhury, vice-president and Ritwik Das at La Liga headquarters in Madrid.
The BNCCI team also discussed opportunities in sports marketing in Bengal including Kolkata Goalz, a project to train underprivileged boys in football by the British Council, Kolkata Police and the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Goalz is a tremendously successful project. The BNCCI team also held detailed discussions on the modalities of a similar project that will benefit the students and underprivileged youth. La Liga officials, along with their counterparts in BNCCI, will prepare a report on such a project which will come under La Liga's international Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
La Liga officials expressed satisfaction over the way the state government has upgraded the Salt Lake stadium and made foolproof arrangements to make U-17 World Cup a success.
