Amit Shah to visit Mamata's constituency on wednesday
BJP national president Amit Shah will visit a slum in South Kolkata situated in Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's constituency on Wednesday. However, the BJP leaders had to take a lot of pain to find a spot in Bhowanipore Assembly constituency where development has not taken place since 2011. Over the past five years, massive development has taken place in South Kolkata. Waterlogging and drinking water scarcity are a matter of the past now. All the main thoroughfares and even lanes and by-lanes are brightly illuminated. Sweeping on major roads take twice a day. Slums like Peyarabagan and Beltola have been developed. Finding no other place, the state BJP leaders will take Shah to a slum situated in Chetla where the state Urban Development minister has brought about major infrastructural development in the past few years. It was learnt that Shah will also visit five houses to talk to the residents and state BJP leadership has kept it a secret. The TMC leaders in South Kolkata have asked party workers not to fall into any kind of provocation.
