Air hostess death: Cops zero in on 2 hrs 'dark period' after she returned home

Kolkata: The police are trying to ascertain that what had actually happened with air hostess Khongsit Clara Bansha Rai in her flat in the "dark period" of two hours after they returned home at around 2 am on August 16.
Sources said that so far the police have ascertained what had happened till around 2 am on that day. But the only remaining part of the investigation is to ascertain what had actually happened between Clara's return along with her friends to her Baguiati flat and her body being found on the road in front of her apartment.
Investigation has revealed that the victim's friend Ivlin Nonggram had reached Clara's flat in evening when she was not at home. Ivlin had taken the key of the victim's flat from one of her neighbours. Later, another friend Suraj Sutodia had reached the flat.
At around 9 pm, the duo left the flat and went to a night club at Park Street. The flight in which Clara was on-duty landed at Kolkata at around 10 pm. She had called up her friends who asked her to meet them at the night club. Clara went to her flat from the airport and had reached the night club at around midnight. All three of them had left Park Street at around 1 am to return to their Baguiati flat in an
app-based cab.
After going through footages of the CCTVs, the police ascertained that they had returned to the flat at around 1.45 am and Clara's body was found on the road at around 4 am.
Now, the police are trying to know what exactly happened after they had returned to the flat. The police have questioned both Ivlin and Suraj repeatedly but they claimed to be in an inebriated state when the incident took place.
The investigating officers are trying to find that whether Clara had any difference of opinion with anyone that night as it could be the reason behind the entire incident.
