Actor Hiran averts major road accident near Kolkata

Actor Hiran, who is also a Trinamool Youth Congress leader, averted a major accident near Ranihati More in Howrah on National Highway 6 on Sunday evening.

The incident took place when he was returning to Kolkata from Uluberia. He received injuries on his legs and was rushed to a hospital in Kolkata. Police said after speaking to the actor that a bus suddenly approached from behind at a high speed and it blew a loud horn when it was just metres behind Hiran's car. The actor somehow managed to take a slight right turn and the bus brushed past the car. After taking the slight right turn it was not at all possible for the actor to control the vehicle and hit against a divider. Locals helped the actor to come out of the car.

Policemen posted in the area rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. Soon after the accident, the police placed security barricades on the road to ensure that all vehicles slow down at the spot.
