Kolkata: A person was shot dead in broad daylight by some miscreants on Friday morning in Madhyamgram in North 24 Parganas. The deceased has been identified as Goutam De Sarkar (50), a resident of Dhakaipatti in Bankimpalli.
Police sources informed that the incident was a fallout of a rivalry associated with promoting business.
Sarkar had gone out of his house to a salon near Bijoynagar, gate number 3, when around 8 miscreants came riding on four motor cycles. As per the version of locals, the miscreants entered the salon and fired around 10 rounds of bullets among which at least three hit the promoter.
