4 armed Bangladeshi pirates held in Indian territory of Sundarbans

Kolkata: Four armed Bangadeshi pirates were arrested on Friday and a boat was seized from Indian waters of Sundarbans in West Bengal's South 24 Parganans district, police here said.
West Bengal Police from Baruipur following an input raided a hideout at Pirkhali in the wee hours today and arrested the four pirates after a brief gun battle.
Police said while four have been arrested, some of their associates fled taking advantage of encounter during the dark.
Police seized six country made guns, four big pipe guns, three small pipe guns,five 8 mm bullets, ten 12 mm bullets and five rounds of 12 mm cartridges.
Of the four, three pirates are from Satkhira district of Bangladesh, and one from Khulna district.
The pirates were identified as Habibur Dhali 26, Habibulla Bahar 32, Sahebali Gazi 31, and Md Bilal Hossain 27.
