30 TMC supporters hurt in bus accident

Kolkata: Thirty Trinamool Congress supporters suffered injuries when a bus they were travelling in overturned near Amtala Bridge in Lalgarh.

It is said some of them are grievously hurt. The TMC supporters were on their way to attend an election rally. All the injured persons were taken to a hospital in Jhargram. It is said that the driver lost control as the bus was moving at a high speed and it eventually overturned. There were around 45 persons in the bus. Local resident helped to rescue people. They removed the injured persons from the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle reportedly fled from the spot. Police removed the vehicle from the spot. The incident led to traffic congestion in the area for sometimes. The situation was brought under control by the police. According to the police, some victims suffered injuries on their limbs and a few them suffered injuries on the head. Some injured persons are being monitoring by the doctors at the hospital while most of them were released after a preliminary treatment.
