3-year-old sexually assaulted by bus cleaner

Kolkata: Police arrested a 45-year-old bus cleaner who allegedly dragged a three-year-old girl inside a parked luxury bus on Canal West Road in North Kolkata and allegedly raped her on Monday afternoon.
After starting an investigation, the city police have arrested the accused from a place in North Kolkata on Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as Sheikh Munna. It was learnt that the accused has confessed his guilt during the police interrogation.
Munna was cleaning a bus which was parked on the road when the victim went to the spot to pick a ball with which she had been
playing along with her 5-year-old brother. Both the children were playing by the side of the road.
When the girl went close to the vehicle the accused dragged her inside the bus and locked the door of the bus from inside.
The victim's elder brother knocked on the door but the accused did not open it.
Banging on the door hardly had any impact on the accused who assaulted the little girl sexually. He also pleaded with Sheikh to let his sister go.
As his efforts went in vain, he ran to his mother, a widowed rag picker staying on footpath and informed her about the matter.
The mother rushed to the bus and rescued her daughter. The child
was rushed to a private nursing home and then to the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
According to the doctors at the hospital, the child was bleeding profusely when brought to the hospital.
The child's health condition is stated to be serious. She is yet to recover the shock she had gone through.
According to police, the forensic experts have collected blood samples and strains which were found on the shirt of the accused.
Police are waiting for test reports.
