Acting on a tip-off, a team comprising policemen from the local police station conducted raids at different places and arrested the youth. After interrogating them, police detained seven more persons considering that they were well aware of the murder that was chalked a day ago the incident had taken place.

After preliminary investigation, the cops came to know about the person who had masterminded the murder of Jahir.

Police suspected that hired killers were engaged to execute the plan. There was someone close to the victim who was constantly passing information about his movement to the hired killers.

A police officer said that the two youth, who were already arrested, could help them in tracing the whereabouts of the ones still at large.

Family members of the youth, however, claimed that they were not at all involved in the incident and the police are framing them for no reason.

The police have also taken statements of the local people who had witnessed the incident. The police have also come to know about some people with whom the victim had rivalry.
