2 held for duping people on pretext of jobs

Kolkata: Bidhannagar police on Saturday arrested two persons on the charges of running a fake job racket.
The accused have been identified as Binay Mukherjee and Utpal Ghosh. They used to dupe people with assurances of providing jobs in various departments. Both the accused are from Burdwan's Kalna area.
Police came to know in the course of investigation that the accused took money from some people with promises of jobs in the state Forest department. The accused had duped a few lakhs of rupees from some candidates saying that the candidates would be given jobs in various departments. Police came to know that the accused would come near Bikash Bhavan area. The investigators assembled there on Friday evening. When the two accused reached the spot, police arrested the accused.
Police have recovered two lakh rupees and some fake appointment letters from their possession. According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect that the accused are a part of a interstate fake job racket.
