Baggage loss from high-security Delhi airport premises may not be that uncommon. A prominent Kolkata lawyer lost his baggage with important legal papers at the premises after he landed from the City of Joy, police said on Friday.
Anindya Kumar Mitra, a senior advocate along with his associate arrived from Kolkata by an Indigo flight, to Delhi Airport on Monday evening at around 9.15 pm. They were carrying a bag and a briefcase. He remembers collecting the belongings from the conveyor belt. When Mitra reached the hotel in a taxi, he realised that his briefcase was missing. The briefcase contained important court papers and an identity card issued by Supreme Court and a mobile phone among others. “We are investigating the matter,” said a police official.
