Asserting that the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) “is for everybody”, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday expressed her happiness with Hollywood movies being screened at different parks of the city under the “paray paray initiative”.
“Kolkata International Film Festival is for everybody. It takes the joy of cinema to every neighbourhood, every home. Since Hollywood is the focus this year, we have this Initiative ‘paray paray initiative’,” Banerjee posted on her Facebook.
Incidentally, the organiser of the 21st KIFF, the state government has decided to pay tribute to Hollywood films. And for the same it has adapted famous logos starting from the 20th Century Fox, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Paramount Pictures to Columbia Pictures in the Kolkata context.
