lured the minor girl with various promises. The police are looking if the accused was involved
in an interstate trafficking racket. It may be mentioned that many such trafficking rackets have been operating in the state where village girls are lured from the bordering areas of Bengal and are taken to others cities and later sold in various red light areas.
Police are also investigating to find out the names of other associates of the accused, who might have been involved in trafficking girls from various parts of the state.Police said that in many cases, the accused lure the young girls with a promise of a better job and engage them in various inhuman practices after taking them to other states.
In some cases, the accused convince the poor parents that their children would be given a good job but they traffic them outside. With the police have become more vigilant and various NGOs working towards the spread of awareness in the rural areas, the number of trafficking incidents have been kept in check in the recent times.
