Kim Kardashian robbed of around $6.7mn at gunpoint in Paris
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian West was robbed of approximately USD 6.7 millions at gunpoint at a luxury residence here by masked men dressed as police officers. A police spokesman said the haul from the robbery, mostly jewellery, was worth up to 6 million euros, reported BBC.
As per the police there were at least two gunmen and the concierge led them to the residence where they tied Kardashian up in the bathroom. The robbery took place at about 03:00 local time (01:00 GMT), reported BBC quoting local police.
Reports say Kardashian has now left France, flying out of a Paris airport aboard a private jet. According to some reports there were as many as five people involved in the robbery, which is said to have taken place in a luxury residence and not a hotel as was reported earlier.
The ‘Keeping Up With The Karadashians’ star, who has been in Paris for the Fashion Week, was unharmed physically. “She is badly shaken but physically unharmed,” her representative said. Kardashian, 35, had stayed at the residence, behind Paris’s Madeleine church, in 2014. Her husband Kanye West abruptly left the stage at Meadows Music & Arts Festival in Queens mid-song on Sunday night, citing “family emergency.”
