KIIT registers highest number of placements in various courses

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Odisha has given a new dimension in the education sector in the country as it registered the highest number of placements for students in various academic institutions and also jobs in different sectors through its various courses.

KIIT stressed equal emphasis on academic placement, meticulously grooming interested students for higher studies and actively supporting their efforts to secure admission in reputed institutions. This year also many students have been selected in reputed national and international universities for higher studies and also getting offers from the top institutions from Switzerland, France, Norway, Canada, Poland and Germany for Ph.D. and other higher studies.

KIIT was established as an institution imparting degree engineering programmes in 1997 with the first batch passing out in 2001. The University has been able to achieve consistently excellent placement record due to its innovative teaching-learning system, driven by highly competent team of faculty. Numerous academic seminars and workshops were held at the institution so that the students can interact with the eminent academicians.

Schools of Engineering recorded 92 per cent placement, School of Rural Management and School of Management achieved 100 and 83 per cent respectively. Similarly, School of Law and School of Biotechnology registered 85 and 98 per cent placement. In the most remarkable ever performance in campus placement, Schools of Engineering which accounts for 82 per cent of the total registered students, created record 3800 jobs for 2015-16 academic session. The schools have generated 4566 jobs from 2010 companies. The big companies including the Accenture, Wipro, Cognizant and Infosys inducted many of these candidates.

Two institutions like Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) established by Dr Achyut Samanta relentlessly working towards the betterment of education infrastructure across the country.
