Kharge releases ESI citizens’ charter

Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has approved and enhanced the expenses for confinement taking place outside ESI Dispensaries/ Hospital from Rs 2,500 to Rs.5,000; PDB and DB Benefit Rates to address the erosion in the real value due to inflation and the limit of daily rate of PDB for commutation.
During the 158th meeting of the company, chaired by Labour & Employment Minister Mallikarjun Kharge, the revised edition of the ‘Citizens’ Charter’ of ESI Scheme’, a hand book of ESIC Hospital named ‘Arogyam’ containing medical facilities available in ESIC Hospitals and ESIC Calendar, 2013, were also released.
This new edition of ‘Citizens’ Charter’ has been incorporated due to simplification and inclusion of services standard in delivery processes of ESIC.
