Kerala Blasters host Chennaiyin in ISL

Kerala Blasters FC caretaker coach Trevor Morgan believes his team is only one win away from getting back on track as they battle Chennaiyin FC in an Indian Super League (ISL) clash at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Saturday.

Kerala Blasters have lost four matches in a row and parted ways with head coach Peter Taylor after their 2-3 loss to FC Pune City. Morgan has now been named caretaker coach and the man, who has been assistant to David James and Taylor, is keen to start a turnaround at the earliest.

“There will be something different on Saturday but what that is I cannot say at the moment. All I can say is that we need to win the game and to win, we got to do well going forward. We will field a team that will give us a lot of options going forward, and at the same time, also make sure we do not concede goals,” Morgan said.

Morgan said Kerala Blasters have not been outplayed in any of the four matches which they lost and were unlucky to lose by narrow solitary goal margins.

“Last year, we were making mistakes but not getting punished. This season, every mistake you make, you get punished. In football, you are one result away from finding form. I cannot say there is lack of self-belief in the team because we are trying everyday. We just need that one win to set you off,” said Morgan.
