KCR assures all govt vacancies will be filled up

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday announced that his government would ‘hundred per cent’ fill up all vacancies in the government departments by relaxing the upper age limit by five years.

‘We will take up the process in the next four-five months. We are only waiting for finalisation of Kamalnathan Committee report on the exact allotment of employees to the state post-bifurcation.

Unemployed youth need not get disheartened,’ the Chief Minister said in the Legislative Assembly.

There were 1,07,744 vacancies in various departments after the provisional allotment of employees, he said. While 5,23,675 employees were (provisionally) sanctioned to Telangana after the state’s division, 4,15,931 were currently working, he said.

‘We have recently issued a notification constituting the Telangana State Public Service Commission. The process of appointing its chairman and other members is on....Only god knows why there is such a delay in allotment of employees and All India Services officers to Telangana. I have taken up the issue with the Prime Minister and we have written many letters to the Centre,’ the Chief Minister said.

He also said that contract employees working in various government departments would also be regularised and the government would take a considerate view on regularising the services of outsourced employees too.
