Kaushambi to get its own PS, courtesy CM

The security in the area has automatically been beefed up since the Chief Minister resides there. A lot of security personnel are taking turns in Kaushambi to keep strict vigil. In accordance to this, the UP government on Wednesday announced four new police stations in the district, one of them is Kaushambi.

With the fresh announcement, number of police stations will rise from 17 to 21 in the district.
Accepting the long pending demand of the residents of the district, the Akhilesh Yadav led UP government announced to start new police stations in the following areas — Kaushambi, Nandgram, Shalimar Garden and Teela More. The Kaushambi police station will be carved out from Indirapuram
while Nand Gram will be formed out from Sihani Gate.

Shalimar Garden will be created from Shahibabad and the Teela More will come up from Loni police station.

“As the population of the area is increasing by leaps and bounds, the need of the hour is to enhance policing accordingly. We had demanded few police stations from the top authorities earlier and now it has been approved,” said a senior police official. It would be important to recall that in November last year, the UP government had announced three police stations in the district. The first station at Khoda was carved out from Indirapuram.

The second station — Loni Border — has been carved out from Loni police station and the third Tronica City was also carved out from the Loni station.

Situated on Delhi-Saharanpur Road, Tronica city police station covers the UPSIDC’s newly developed township containing residential and industrial population.
