Karan’s Brothers trailer crosses six million views

The trailer of upcoming film Brothers, starring Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra, has crossed six million views on YouTube.

Directed by Agneepath fame, Karan Malhotra, the movie is a remake of the 2011 Hollywood film Warrior, which starred Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton.

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is producing the action-drama, took to Twitter along with the <g data-gr-id="18">starcast</g> to thank fans.

“Thank you for the continuous love!<g data-gr-id="19">,</g>” he wrote. Akshay, who plays a fighter in the movie, said, “6 million views and still going strong on the #BrothersTrailer! You’ll make all the hard work worthwhile.”

His co-star Sidharth Malhotra wrote, “Thank you guys for your unconditional love and support keep it going.” Akshay plays David Fernandes, a <g data-gr-id="20">school teacher</g> and Sidharth plays Akshay’s younger brother Monty Fernandes, who seems resentful of Akshay’s talent and feels overshadowed by him.

Also starring Jackie Shroff and Jacqueline Fernandez in pivotal roles, Brothers is scheduled to release on August 14.
