Juveniles on a looting spree in city apprehended

They are all aged between 15 to 17 and are school dropouts. In the age when they would have been in the school reading and writing, they are looting pedestrians in Subhash Place area of North-west Delhi. The cops identified and apprehended eight juveniles in conflict with law.

Though the gang of juveniles have committed several dacoity which went unreported, they ran out of luck on the second day of the new year when they robbed a man near Britannia Chowk. The gang of juveniles surrounded the victim and took him to a nearby park where he was thrashed. The gang, which had eight or nine members, then took out a knife and asked the man to part without his belongings.

As the gang ran after robing him, the victim managed to catch one of the boys and raised an alarm. The boy was apprehended which led the cops to the other members as well.

“One of their associates is still at large who is absconding with the robbed property of the complainant. Efforts are being made to apprehend him and to recover the robbed property,” said Milind Dumbere (DCP).
