According to the police, on November 28, the victim’s cousin registered a complaint that his sister was missing from her rented accommodation in the Mukundpur area while her parents went away to their native place. The complainant stated that the woman’s neighbour saw two unidentified men kidnapping his sister at around 3 am in the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.
Teams were formed and the woman’s body was later found in a forest area, half naked, near Bhalswa Dairy. Based on local intelligence and tip-off from informers, police found that the suspect was a juvenile who lived three houses away from the victim’s house.
During sustained interrogation, the juvenile admitted to the crime and revealed about the involvement of Abhimanyu (22). The juvenile narrated how they entered the victim’s house on the first floor by climbing through the adjoining roof of the other houses.
