Juvenile arrested for raping  4-year-old in Ggn
Gurgaon Police arrested a juvenile on Thursday evening for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in South City’s Bengali market. The incident took place when the minor was playing near her chawl in the by-lanes of the aforementioned market.

Safiqul, the accused is a 16 year-old juvenile and a school dropout who is also a resident of the same chawl. 

An FIR has been filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
Both the victim’s family and the accused hail from West Bengal but were at present living in the shanties in Bengali Market.

The victim’s mother works as a domestic help in South City and Sushant Lok-I. On returning from work on Thursday, the mother couldn’t find her daughter in their room. On looking for her, the minor was found at the corner of a park lying unconscious.

“After regaining consciousness, the minor asked her mother to take her to the bathroom where the mother found that the minor was bleeding from her private parts,” Bilkish Bibi, the mother of the victim told Millennium Post.

The family of the victim found that the accused was their neighbour. The officials from Sadar police station, Sector 10 were informed immediately and the accused was arrested.

The incident took place at 11 in the morning when the juvenile took the minor to his room and allegedly raped her. Sources reveal that the accused paid Rs 10 to the minor and asked her not to disclose this incident to her family.

The minor was immediately taken to the Civil Lines Hospital, near Jharsa Road for her medical check-up, where the doctors confirmed rape.

After arresting the accused and producing him before the judicial magistrate, he was sent to a local observation home in Faridabad.

According to the information received, the identification card of the accused has been sent to the local police station in his village in West Bengal, The Gurgaon Police are now awaiting his profiling from his local residence and village to find out whether he has any criminal background or not.
