GODDESS GAGGED

How did the band come together? Where did you gys meet?
Goddess Gagged started off as a three piece band majorly influences by Porcupine Tree.
It was not until Siddharth and Devesh joined when the band finally came into the picture exactly three years ago !

Where does the name of the band come from?
It’s the name of a song by Protest The Hero

What influences you when you are making music? Who are the musicans you look up to?
Porcupine Tree , Protest The Hero of course and  Architects!

What next for your band?
The band is playing it’s last gig with Jeremy, their current drummer after which he leaves for MI. Rest of the season is going to be with a surprise drummer! Devesh is leaving for Berklee in January after which the band goes on a hiatus.

How has Delhi treated you guys? How are the Delhi audience?
Delhi has been nice! They have accepted our music well. Delhi people are rowdy and we like that!

KRAKEN

How did the band come together? Where did you gys meet?
The band came together in school with the first lineup. We were an instrumental band until I was asked to join. Then after a lot of lineup changes and copious amounts of tea and hours of laughing our brains out and taking pot shots at each other. Here we are.

Where does the name of the band come from?
Moses is a huge conspiracy theory fanatic and is a closet cryptozoologist. Hence the name. It’s his homage to what he loves doing in his time being a loner.

What influences you when you are making music? Who are the musicans you look up to?
We are influenced by everything around us. Everyone in the band brings their own set of experiences into the atmosphere and reflects in the music. I am a design student and the design of how everything around us is systematically put together in some way really comes through our music. Plus we are really different people who understand each other to the core. And we love to trip on each other all the time. So it’s a damn chill atmosphere.

What next for your band?
Kraken will consume. It’s here to stay. Now it’s time to take up a notch. Hitting the studio right after we finish playing the gig week.

How has Delhi treated you guys?
Delhi is our favourite place to be. But there are hardly any places where you can play our kind of music so that’s really disheartening. But hopefully more festivals will have us on their bill and we will get more  of such opportunities to play.
