“We have suspended the accused student and he will remain suspended till the fact finding committee reaches the conclusion of this case, “said Pradip Kumar Ghosh, register of the university.

The accused student, a student of English department, allegedly molested two girls; one from the
English department and the other from Comparative Literature.

“The university authority took the best step. The fact finding committee consists of four members, including three professors and a student representative. The truth will come out,” said a university source.

However, most of the student’s organisation in the university has supported the complainant girls.
They have alleged that the accused student has been doing these this since many days.

Some of the girls initially protested against the action’s of the accused, but he went on and threatened them with dire consequences. The girls did not have the courage to complain against the accused boy as he was from a posh family background.
