Journo couple assaulted after head-on-collision in Noida

A journalist couple was thrashed in a road rage incident in Noida on Friday evening. Police said that the victims, who were going towards Ghaziabad in a car, were targeted by another motorist after a <g data-gr-id="19">head-on-collision</g> with a car. The journalist couple was allegedly beaten up and attacked with a knife that led to a hand injury to the female journalist.

Police said that one Amardeep Kumar Sinha and his wife were heading towards their residence in <g data-gr-id="25"><g data-gr-id="24">Crossing</g> Republic of Ghaziabad</g> via Noida in a WagonR after finishing their duty. At around 8.10 pm, when their vehicle reached Noida’s Sector 71 red-light, a Swift Dzire, coming from the opposite direction hit them. 

Soon after the accident, the owner of the Swift car pulled them out and started slapping Amardeep publicly. While opposing the assault on Amardeep, his wife was also attacked with the knife that led to her injury. 

“The vehicle owner assaulted us very badly. We  were <g data-gr-id="18">targetted</g> despite being innocent. It was his mistake. Even our car has been damaged completely as he was driving rashly,” she added.
