The family are thankful for your prayers,” a statement on the website read, reports Julian, who is also a musician, posted a three-minute video on YouTube in which he sings a song written by himself.

The video also featured a montage of family photos as a tribute to his loving mother.  The song begins with - You gave your life for me, you gave your life for love. Then, it ends with - I know you’re safe above.

Cynthia met John Lennon in 1959 at music class in Liverpool College of Art when she was 18 years old.

They got married three years later on August 1962 at the Mount Pleasant Register office in Liverpool after finding out that she was pregnant with their son.
