J'khand teachers to get tabs by next fiscal: Das

In a major move aimed at improving education system in Jharkhand, the state government has decided to provide tabs to all teachers of government schools in the next financial year.

Also, taking forward the 'Digital India Mission' of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jharkhand Chief Minister Ragubar Das on Monday launched ‘e-vidyavahini’ software.

The teachers of the state would be linked to ‘e-vidyavahini’ software that will help them improve technical knowhow of teachers as well as keeping a track on the performance of teachers.

Speaking at a function in Ranchi, Das said, “Providing quality education is topmost priority of the government. The state government has inked several MoUs with different educational institutions so that the state could see higher accessibility to quality education in all its regions, especially in the rural areas.”

Stressing on the importance of technology in education, the Chief Minister said, “We have to secure the future of children. The government would not forgive anyone for any type of laxity in education."

The government has special focus on strengthening infrastructures in schools to provide quality teaching facilities, Das said.

"The provision for special coaching would be made available to the students of 9th and 10th standards of government schools,” the Jharkhand chief minister said.

Present on the occasion, Development Commissioner Amit Khare said, “The focus of the government is to increase the literacy rate by reducing dropout cases.”
