Jethmalani, Gadkari talk peace at Advani’s behest

Softening his stand over second term to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Nitin Gadkari veteran lawyer Ram Jethmalani met party’s senior leader L K Advani and Gadkari on Friday. This meeting is also seen in the light of revoking the suspension of the veteran lawyer.
Jethmalani has been vocal over the resignation of Gadkari as the party president, after reports of irregularities in Gadkari’s Purti group emerged in the media. Jethmalani’s meeting with Gadkari now is seen as a reconciliation between the two leaders.
‘At the meeting Jethmalani reaffirmed his faith in the BJP’s ideology and wished that the party may come to power in the country,’ said BJP spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain. The BJP spokesperson also informed that the veteran lawyer had also handed a letter at the meeting which will be considered by the BJP parliamentary board.
The veteran lawyer was hopeful that his suspension would be revoked.
