‘This is a flagrant violation of privacy,’ a spokesperson for the 24-year-old said in a statement, reports people.com.
‘The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence,’ added the spokesperson.
There are other young stars too who were caught up in similar scandals.
Selfies of Nickelodeon actress Jennette McCurdy were leaked in March, and a man was arrested following an FBI investigation into the hacking of Scarlett Johansson’s phone.
