JBT scam: Review pleas of ex-Haryana CM, son rejected

The Supreme Court has dismissed the review petition filed by former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala and his son Ajay Chautala, challenging their conviction and 10-year jail term awarded to them in teachers’ recruitment scam case.
“Having perused the review petitions and the connected materials submitted on behalf of the petioners and having bestowed our serious consideration to the same, we do not find any scope to review our order...” a Bench of Justices FMI Kalifulla and Shiva Kirti Singh said. The Bench also rejected the plea for oral hearing of the review petition in the light of certain evidences.
The Apex Court had on August 3 had dismissed their appeals against the Delhi high court verdict, upholding their conviction and jail term.
