Jaidev willing to settle dispute; Uddhav seeks time

Jaidev Thackeray, who has contested the ‘will’ left behind by his father and Shiv Sena founder late Bal Thackeray, on Wednesday told the Bombay High Court that he was willing to settle the dispute over the family property with his brother Uddhav. However, Uddhav’s lawyer said his client needed more time to decide whether a compromise could be worked out as it was difficult to settle the dispute with Jaidev since he had levelled allegations against Uddhav.

The high court had earlier asked both the brothers to resolve their dispute amicably.
