J P S Chawla takes charge as Delhi Transco Ltd Director (Finance)

J P S Chawla, an Indian Civil Account Service officer of the 1985 batch, has taken charge as Director (Finance) of Delhi Transco Ltd and Delhi Power Company Ltd. He has also been holding charge as Director (Finance) of Indraprastha Power Generation Company Ltd and Pragati Power Corporation Ltd.
Born on 3rd November, 1959, Chawla is an alumnus of Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), where he earned his BE in Mechanical Engineering. He started his career with Engineers India Ltd (EIL) in 1981 and later on moved to the Indian Civil Account Services. Before joining the Delhi power sector, he was additional director general with Prasaar Bharti.
