It's hard to get good debut in Bollywood: Sayesha Saigal

The 19-year-old star was initially nervous about the project but says Ajay made her feel comfortable on the set of the film, which released today.

"I just want people to really love my work. I haven't seen the film myself. So, I'm eagerly waiting for how it looks.

It's a blessing for me because it's not easy to get a good debut in the industry," <g data-gr-id="54">Sayesha</g> told PTI.

"And when you get it with a big star like Ajay Devgn, it's a really huge thing for any debutant. Also, he is directing the film which doesn't happen very often and it was something that made me feel really secure about my debut."

Polish actress Erika <g data-gr-id="51">Kaar</g> is also making her Bollywood debut with "<g data-gr-id="52">Shivaay</g>", but Sayesha, also the grandniece of veteran star Saira Banu, is not worried about any competition.

"'<g data-gr-id="47">Shivaay</g>' is not a romantic drama, had it been that, I would have probably felt the pressure, but it's an emotional drama with <g data-gr-id="58">lot</g> of action and every character in the film has an important part.

"So, whether it's Erika or anybody in the film, we all have very different kind of roles. I'm not at all scared."

<g data-gr-id="48">Sayesha</g> comes from a family, which has a long history in films but she says she has never been too filmy.

"I'm <g data-gr-id="55">very</g> simple girl at home. I have never been an ultra-filmy person and I still am not. Films happened to me because I love the creative side of it like dance, music and acting."

When asked if she got any compliment from Banu for her role, <g data-gr-id="53">Sayesha</g> said, "She is very happy that I'm making my debut with a good film. She really liked the trailer and even complimented me <g data-gr-id="46">for</g> my looks. She hasn't yet watched the film but she told me that I'm looking pretty."

Sayesha is looking forward to the release of her first film, she said it is extremely important for her to get an approval from the audience as without their support she will not be able to move ahead in her career.

"I have expectations that the audience might like my work.

I'm nervous because it's my first film.

"I want acceptance from them in a way that they go in theatres and say that we like this girl and she looks really good on screen and she is a good actress. I want people to go and feel that because if they will feel that then it will take me forward.
