ITBP helps students of Chhattisgarh’s ‘Maoist’ areas to board train for first time

Ajay Chadha, Director General, ITBP met the students  from Left wing extremists-affected areas of Chhattisgarh state at ITBP HQrs, New Delhi.  Under its civic action and border area development programmes, ITBP has arranged an excursion of boys of Naxal -hit areas of Chhattisgarh. The trauma-stricken students are being provided an opportunity to de-stress, relax and draw inspirations from seeing  historical monuments  and meeting with eminent personalities and see the symbols of modern India. This group of students from Rajnandgaon, and Balod districts is visiting Delhi and Agra from 19 April to 23 April 2013.

All students and four out of five teachers accompanying them has never visited a city like Delhi. No student has even travelled in train. On this occasion, Ajay Chadha said ‘As I am told that prior to this tour, none of you had ever visited Delhi and Agra. Now you have got opportunity to see historical and cultural monuments at Delhi and Agra. From this tour you will be surely benefited and will gain valuable experience.’
